Paradiso is a live DVD released by Fiction Plane on March 23, 2009 through XIII Bis Records. It is available in three formats (DVD with 2-CD audio, DVD, and Blu-ray disc).
It was recorded on December 7, 2008 at the band’s sold-out performance in Amsterdam at the Paradiso concert venue.
Special features on the DVD include the unedited version of the “It’s A Lie†video (directed by Jake Sumner, brother of Fiction Plane bassist / vocalist Joe Sumner and son of rock icon Sting), and a photo gallery comprised of images taken along the band’s touring journey.
Paradiso was mixed by Ash Howes (Kylie Minogue, James Morrison, Eurythmics) and mastered by Andy Walters (U2, The Cure, Radiohead) at Abbey Road Studio. The cover art was contributed by Alex Lake, who, in addition for supplying the artwork for Fiction Plane’s two previous releases Left Side of the Brain and 2005’s Bitter Forces and Lame Race Horses, has also worked with Keane, Rufus Wainwright, and Amy Winehouse.
It is a limited edition disc that is only sold in France, The Netherlands, and Belgium.
